Keeping your website up to date

 All About Website Update

Website Update was founded by Jim Moffat, a former teacher and ICT Co-ordinator. During his time as a teacher he designed and made several websites for schools.

A growing skill at building websites led him to be asked to do quite a lot of work on them, but always with the assumption that he would be the one who maintained the site too.

But problems would arise when he left a school. Nobody would have the time, inclination or skill to keep that website fresh. The result was that websites fell into disrepair.

Last year's calendar, staff lists showing teachers who have left, and photos of events that happened months ago all combined to give a very poor impression of a school.

Jim Moffat This is what prompted Jim to set up Website Update, a company dedicated to helping schools keep their websites right up to date. And it is generating a lot of interest!

Sites We Maintain:

Website Update has started from small beginnings, maintaining mainly websites that we have built.

Examples of these are:-

Party In A Box

Colmans Classic Cars

One 2 One Tutors

All Saints Church of England Primary School, Bednall

Hazel Slade Primary School

Now we are entering the schools website area, where there is a clear need for a professional company to provide a swift and efficient service in keeping websites up to date. Finally it can be identifiably someone's job to do this in a school and a maintenance contract is usually far more cost effective than trying to maintain a website using in -house staff who already have crowded job descriptions that do not include website maintenance.
